SC Laser Engravings – Payment & Service Terms
Payment is due upon pickup or delivery of the completed item(s), unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Pickup and/or delivery shall take place at 160 Nelson Street East, Hawkesbury, Ontario, K6A 1L8, unless alternate arrangements have been made.
Accepted methods of payment include cash, e-transfer, credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Because all products are custom-made or personalized, all sales are final once production has begun. Customers are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all names, dates, spelling, wording, artwork, logos, dimensions, and design details prior to approving production. Approval of a proof, mock-up, or design constitutes acceptance of all details, and SC Laser Engravings shall not be responsible for errors contained in an approved design.
Quotes are valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change after that time or if the scope of the order changes.
A deposit may be required before production begins. Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or production has commenced.
Completion dates provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. SC Laser Engravings shall not be liable for delays resulting from equipment failure, material shortages, supplier delays, shipping delays, power outages, severe weather, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Customers supplying their own items acknowledge that laser engraving, laser cutting, and related processes involve inherent risks. Material composition, coatings, adhesives, hidden defects, manufacturing inconsistencies, and unknown treatments may cause unexpected damage or undesirable engraving results. While every reasonable precaution is taken, SC Laser Engravings cannot guarantee the outcome on customer-supplied items.
In the unlikely event that a customer-supplied item is accidentally damaged during processing, SC Laser Engravings’ liability shall be limited, at its sole discretion, to one of the following:

replacement of the item where reasonably possible;

reimbursement of the item’s fair market value immediately prior to processing; or
-
refund of the engraving service fee.
Under no circumstances shall SC Laser Engravings be liable for sentimental value, collectible value, lost profits, consequential damages, incidental damages, indirect damages, or any amount exceeding the lesser of the item’s fair market value or the amount paid for the services provided.
Natural variations in wood, leather, slate, glass, anodized metals, coatings, powder coating, painted surfaces, stainless steel, and other materials may result in differences in engraving colour, depth, contrast, texture, or finish. Such natural variations are not considered defects.
Customers confirm that they have the legal right to reproduce and engrave any artwork, logos, trademarks, photographs, or other intellectual property supplied for production. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SC Laser Engravings from any claims arising from unauthorized use of copyrighted or trademarked materials.
Completed orders not collected within ninety (90) days of notification may, at the sole discretion of SC Laser Engravings, be deemed abandoned. Abandoned items may be disposed of, recycled, or resold to recover costs without further notice, and any payments previously made shall be forfeited to offset materials, labour, and storage.
By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Payment & Service Terms.
